Situated on Calgary's north doorstep is one of Alberta's best-kept secrets, the City of Airdrie which is located only 10 minutes North of
Calgary. This relaxed rural community of more than 38,000 people is a place where everyone can enjoy small town warmth, charm
and atmosphere with big city services and nearby access to Calgary’s many amenities…but not its traffic. Airdrie is a warm, welcoming
and small town friendly city. The name "Airdrie" means "The King's Height". A unique feature of Airdrie is that its elevation makes it the
highest city in Canada. Visit http://www.airdrie.ca/about_airdrie/index.cfm to learn more.
"Everything a family could need is here, and if it’s missing, well the big city is ten miles down the road – what could be better?"
Mark, resident of Airdrie
Airdrie Recreation
