About the East Lake Recreation Centre

In January 2004, Airdrie opened the new $12 million East Lake Recreation and Wellness Centre. This state of the art facility offers residents:

An Aquatic Area

Airdrie Kinsmen Club Lifestyle leisure pool – complete with fun spray toy features, handicapped accessibility and various water depths.
Vitreous play pool – constant .55 meters deep
Vitreous lazy river – fast and fun current
Lions Club of Airdrie six lane competitive pool – great for lane swimmers
Dive tank with 1-meter board and 3-meter platform
M & M Meat Shops hot tub
Airdrie Lioness Club tots pool
Water slide – 52 feet high with 250 feet of slide enjoyment

A Dry Land Area

Large multipurpose hall –used as one large gymnasium or two gymnasiums when divided by separating curtain
McDonald's Fun Place -party room – complete with play structure (sponsored in part by Alberta Treasury Branch)
Woodmont & Bluegrass Multipurpose Craft/Party Room
